Congressman Chris Murphy Visits Regional Hospice

Congressman Murphy visited Regional Hospice to learn more about how agencies that provide hospice and palliative home care are affected by changes in reimbursement rates and extensive reporting requirements. Congressman Murphy chose to meet with Regional Hospice because of the agency’s role as an innovative leader in delivering care to families in Western Connecticut. With new payment methodologies expected to be implemented as part of healthcare reform, it was an important opportunity to share with Congressman Murphy the anticipated effect of changes to hospice and homecare.
